What the duck

What does the duck mean?
Ducks look calm on the surface while paddling hard underneath. A lot of students know that feeling. If you're carrying something invisible, the duck is a quiet way of letting people around you know.
What do we mean by an invisible challenge? It's something that can have a big impact on someone's daily life, even if you can't see it. It might be an invisible disability, financial pressure, chronic illness, anxiety, grief, caring responsibilities, burnout, or simply having a tough day.
What to do
You can choose a duck badge, bag tag or keyring.
Put it on your bag, jacket or lanyard.
It' s not about explaining what's going on (unless you want to), it's about making it a little easier to show that you're dealing with something.
When you spot a duck on someone else, give them a bit of extra patience. Be kind. Ask, "how can I help?"
Remember they may have more going on underneath.
The more ducks are out there, the more awareness spreads.
