What's involved?
Peer Learning Mentors
Would you get a buzz from helping other Fed students? It involves chatting with students on campus and online, answering their queries and generally helping them navigate their life as a student.
This role has a casual pay rate of $41.56 per hour (HEW 3.1) and you’ll be working around 8 hours per week.

Current HE students who have successfully completed at least 2 semesters of study at Fed Uni
- They must have a GPA of at least 6.0
- They should have at least 2 semesters left before they graduate
- For PASS, they must be current undergraduate students
- For Peer Learning Mentors, they can also be a post grad by coursework student

PASS Leaders
Are you the person always answering your friends’ questions about your course content? Put your knowledge to good use by helping to run one to two structured study sessions per week for tfirst year students in a unit you’ve excelled in.
This role has a casual pay rate of $39.55 per hour (HEW 2.1) and you’ll be working around 5.5 hours per week.
You must have completed the first year of an undergraduate degree with a grade point average of 6.0 or above for the unit you want to run. You should also be studying any of the following courses:
- Business
- Nursing
- Exercise & sport science
- Community & Human services/Social work
- Biology
- Education

Complete the application form to tell us why you’re interested in the program and how you meet the selection criteria. There's also an option to submit a short video. Only 20 Federation University students will be selected to participate in the hackathon.

Eligibility criteria
To be eligible to join this program, you must:
– be a currently enrolled domestic or international student at Federation University
– continue to be a current student during the internship phase (December 2026 – February 2027)
– have the necessary work rights to take part in the full-time internship (required only for the internship stage).
