If you've been affected by concerning behaviour (on or off campus), you can get help from staff at Federation or through external services.

You’re not alone. It's important to know that there are many support services available, and you can choose the ones that feel right for you.

Support at Federation

Equity and safer communities
If you'd like to talk to someone for advice, support, safety and risk management, including options on reporting contact our Equity and Safer Communities team.
Counselling for students
You can talk to one of our trained counsellors in person, over the phone or via video call. The service is free and confidential.
Counselling for staff
Federation University's employee assistance program (EAP) offers free and confidential counselling for all staff, available 24/7.
Aboriginal Education Centre
The AEC isn't just about education. Staff can also give you personalised support or refer you to community services.
Accessibility Services
If you consider yourself to have a disability, chronic medical or mental health condition, or care for someone who does, contact our Accessibility Services team.
Campus nurses
Gippsland and Mt Helen campuses have nurses on site (bookings are free) and Berwick Campus has its own medical clinic.

National Relay Service (NRS)
The National Relay Service (NRS) can help you if you're d/Deaf or find it hard to hear or speak to hearing people on the phone.
Translating and Interpreting Service (TIS National)
If you don't speak English very well, you may be eligible to get key personal documents translated for free.
