Security on campus

Our licensed security officers keep our campuses secure. They're available day and night to:

  • patrol across campus
  • escort you to your car or building
  • respond to incidents
  • lock and secure buildings
  • give first aid.

If you ever feel unsafe or need assistance while you're at uni, don’t hesitate to contact campus security.

Disclose or report an incident
If you’ve seen or experienced behaviour that doesn’t feel right, we’re here to help. We'll listen, offer support and guide you through your options.
Get support
If you’ve experienced violence, sexual harm or threats – or you’re worried about someone who has – you don’t have to cope alone.

Our commitment to you

We want you to thrive at Federation, free from discrimination, violence or harassment. We work across every area of university life to make our campuses equitable and safe.

National Student Safety Survey

The 2021 National Student Safety Survey (NSSS) collected data on university student experiences of sexual harassment and sexual assault. The results have helped guide our ongoing work for change. A new survey is scheduled to come out in 2026.

Staying safe online
