Biography

Natalie Bransgrove is a lecturer of nursing who enjoys supporting students to become confident, practice‑ready nurses while encouraging critical thinking about care, access, professional responsibility and equity.

Before moving into academia, Natalie worked in nursing roles across a range of settings, including emergency, aged care, local government and industry. That experience shapes her teaching, and she regularly draws on real‑world practice examples to connect theory with contemporary nursing and healthcare delivery.

As International Coordinator, Natalie supports international nursing students, contributing to inclusive and culturally safe nursing education. Her research focuses on health equity, with particular interest in intersectionality, cultural safety and strengthening the nursing workforce. Natalie has recently submitted her PhD, exploring Hospital In The Home for older rural people using an intersectional lens and mixed methodology.

When Natalie is not teaching or researching, she is mentoring new academics or supervising research students.
