Biography
Dr Hayley Scott is a lecturer in Occupational Therapy at Federation University and a registered senior occupational therapist with over 13 years’ experience working in adult inpatient and outpatient public hospital and community settings. Hayley is also an occupational therapy driver assessor with experience working in public hospital clinics and private practice.
Hayley’s research focuses on rehabilitation and community mobility, including driving assessment and rehabilitation. She has a strong interest in evidence‑based practice, clinical decision-making, and creating resources that translate directly into real‑world occupational therapy contexts. Hayley is passionate about research that has meaningful clinical impact, and she is committed to supporting clinicians and students to understand, interpret and apply evidence in their practice.
Hayley’s work has been published in a range of peer-reviewed journals and she has presented her research at national conferences and professional forums.

Areas of expertise
Hayley has expertise in adult rehabilitation. She completed her PhD research on developing and evaluating a driving clinical decision pathway for non-driver trained occupational therapists to guide return to driving practices for adults following a change in health status.
