You don't have to apply. The International Admissions team will automatically assess you for this scholarship when you receive an offer to study at Federation.

Scholarship details

By studying a pathway course, such as a Higher Education Diploma, you may receive a percentage off your tuition fee. Get rewarded for boosting your skills and confidence as you prepare for undergraduate study.

Terms and conditions

To be eligible for the scholarship, applicants must be:

  • an international student (not a study abroad, exchange or online student)
  • enrolling as a commencing student in 2026
  • eligible to study in Australia with a valid visa
  • enrolling in an eligible pathway course (see below).

Higher education diploma

  1. Applicants must be enrolled in a Federation University pathway course.
  2. The scholarship will be calculated on the full tuition fee for each unit and the number of enrolled units during each semester.
  3. The scholarship covers 10% of the tuition fees and is applied to pathway courses only.
  4. Students may be assessed for a Merit Scholarship when they progress into a bachelor course, subject to meeting the eligibility criteria for this scholarship.
  5. If an awardee is approved for compassionate or compelling leave from studies for a semester, the scholarship will be reinstated on their return to study.
  6. The scholarship is non-refundable and may not be transferred to a cash amount.
  7. If an awardee withdraws from the course, they will forfeit the scholarship.
  8. The scholarship cannot be deferred for commencement in a future calendar year.
  9. Federation University reserves the right to assess and determine the equivalency and validity of all academic results and GPA calculations in accordance with its own grading and admissions framework.

This scholarship is awarded in instalments, with the first instalment awarded to successful recipients at the time of offer. Ongoing scholarship instalments will be allocated to the awardee’s student fee account prior to the following census date and on confirmation of meeting ongoing GPA requirements.

The University regards any decision in relation to these scholarships as final and will not entertain any appeal.
