What's involved?

You’ll use your knowledge and experience to support fellow students, share study tips, answer questions and help them feel more confident in their studies. Along the way, you’ll develop valuable communication, leadership, mentoring and facilitation skills while making a difference and getting paid for your time.

PASS Leaders

Are you the person always answering your friends’ questions about your course content? Put your knowledge to good use by helping to run one structured study session per week for first year students in a unit you’ve excelled in.

This role has a casual pay rate of $41.13 per hour (HEW 2.1) and you’ll be working around 4.5 hours per week.

Before you apply, take a moment to ensure you meet the eligibility requirements. You must:

be enrolled in an undergraduate degree program
be at least in your second semester of study
have a GPA of at least 6.0 for the unit you want to run
have at least 2 semesters left before you graduate
be studying any of the following courses:

- Business
- Nursing
- Engineering
- Maths
- Community and Human service
- Social work
- Psychology

Peer Learning Mentors

Would you get a buzz from helping other Fed students? It involves chatting with students on campus and online, answering their queries and generally helping them navigate their life as a student.

This role has a casual pay rate of $43.22 per hour (HEW 3.1) and you’ll be working around 8 hours per week.

be enrolled in an undergraduate or postgraduate by coursework program
be at least in your second semester of study
have a GPA of at least 6.0
have at least 2 semesters left before you graduate.
