Biography

Dr Anitra Goriss-Hunter is a senior lecturer in Education in the Institute of Education, Arts and Community at Federation University Australia. She coordinates the Graduate Certificate in Education (Tertiary Teaching) and brings rich experience in teaching and research across both school and university contexts.  

Her expertise spans gender and education, inclusive practice and pre-service teacher education. Anitra’s multidisciplinary research focuses on the development of inclusive curriculum and pedagogical approaches for pre-service teachers, increasing the participation of women and girls in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) education and careers, strengthening career pathways and leadership opportunities for under-represented groups in the university sector, and conducting intersectional analyses of university policies to advance equity and inclusion.
