Roads to Reconciliation

Read about our Roads to Reconciliation project and how we’re working with multicultural communities in areas of reconciliation, truth and justice.

Activating multicultural Victoria

Multicultural communities play a vital role in Australia, and this project recognises the importance of supporting them to take part in the reconciliation conversation. We’re working to build understanding, strengthen partnerships with First Nations leaders, and encourage communities to learn and act together.

Our project team

Established by the National Centre for Reconciliation, Truth and Justice and funded by the Victorian Department of Families, Fairness and Housing, the project is led by Adjunct Senior Research Fellows Maria Dimopoulos AM, Shankar Kasynathan and Professor Andrew Gunstone. Our team works closely with local governments, community services and the people who live, study and work in multicultural communities.

What's next?

We’ve begun the early work to take our Victorian program national. As the program grows, we’ll keep connecting with local governments and community partners across Australia to understand their needs and explore how we can expand our impact.
