Nourishment Nook
If you're finding it hard to afford basic food and supplies, come and grab some free groceries from our on-campus pantry.
Styled for Success
Job interview coming up? Drop by to look through our range of second-hand clothing and take as many items as you need.
Chaplaincy
Speak to a chaplain to connect with religious communities, engage in self-reflection or get multi-faith guidance.
Study spaces
There are lots of quiet spots around campus – both indoors and outside.
Student lounge
Drop into the student lounge in U Building to relax and chat to friends between classes.
Q Space
LGBTIQA+ and gender diverse students and allies are welcome to drop into the Q Space in U Building.
Quiet room
Take a break and chill out in our low-sensory space – find it on Level 1 in U Building.
Prayer room
Anyone can use the non-denominational prayer room / place of peace on Level 2 in U Building.
Muslim prayer room
To access the prayer room in Building U you'll need to get your student ID activated at Info Point in the Library.

Student clubs

Take a break from your assignments and meet people with similar niche interests by joining a student club. There are lots to choose from. And if you can’t find anything suitable, you can always start your own.

Sport

Fun and fitness
Our recreation program is all about fun and inclusion. No experience? No worries. Come along and join in.
Represent Federation
You can compete in high-level university sport events and leagues at Federation by joining a Fed Falcons team.

Health services

If you need a vaccination, general health check, sexual health and contraception information or wellbeing support, make a booking with our campus nurse. Appointments are free and confidential.

Aboriginal Education Centre

The AEC supports Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students at Federation. Drop into the office to get help with careers, scholarships, referrals and more. 

Student accommodation

Living on res is so convenient. You don’t have to buy furniture or white goods. Your utilities and internet bills are included. And your commute to class is negligible – so you get to sleep in every day. 
 
Another bonus – Mt Helen res students get a free Health, Sports and Aquatic Centre membership, which means access to the fully equipped gym and heated indoor pool.
