Short-term accommodation

Whether you’re travelling for placement, working at a different campus, visiting for an event or simply need a comfortable place to stay, Fedliving has you covered.

Our short‑term accommodation is open to everyone – students, staff and community guests who need to stay in Ballarat, Gippsland or Berwick. Stay for a few nights, a week or a little longer – whatever brings you to Federation, we look forward to welcoming you.

Cancellation policy

You'll receive a full refund if you notify us of your cancellation at least 24 hours before check-in time (2 pm). If you cancel with less than 24 hours' notice, your booking fee is non-refundable.
If you fail to check in and no cancellation has been made, this will be deemed a ‘no show' and all monies paid will be forfeited.
No refund will be issued if you check in but choose to leave early.


Fedliving reserves the right to make exceptions to these policies where extenuating circumstances occur and notification from the guest is received. Bookings made by third-party platforms (such as Airbnb or Stayz) are subject to their cancellation policies.
