WELRO3109 FAMILY CENTRED PRACTICE
"This course prepares students for their final fieldwork placement by providing theoretical information and practical experience in working with families and working with four selected issues frequently encountered by human service workers in their direct service roles. Four major concepts underpin the course: ¿ The attitudes, values and practices that lead to collaborative family work ¿ Understanding of the experience of oppression and its effect on people leading to human service workers adopting the knowledge and attitudes of anti-oppressive practice ¿ The use of critical reflection in human service work ¿ The use of evidence and research to support and reinforce the concepts above.
