SCFST8001 MASTER THESIS - FOOD SCIENCE F/T
The course introduces the student to the range of biological materials used in the food processing industry. The commodity groups overviewed will include tissue and non-tissue foods. The course will also introduce the principles of maintaining these food materials in a satisfactory manner such that physiological and chemical/biochemical and nutritional changes that are inherently disadvantageous to food quality are minimised. The content will emphasise the value of an integrated approach to commodities and heir treatments. Adequate information on the physiological, physical, chemical, biochemical and nutritional status of food commodity groups will be gained.
Commonwealth supported place (CSP)
A CSP is subsidised by the Australian Government and students pay a contribution amount. Each unit is classified into a band, depending on the study area of the unit (this discipline may be different from the study area of your course).
