PHILO1009 Philosophy and Literature
Literature has been employed to express ideas in political philosophy, ontology, and ethics. This course will introduce students to some of the ways in which modern philosophical ideas have been expressed in literary forms. These will be studied alongside `traditional¿ philosophical texts that confront and grapple with similar problems, themes, and ideas. The course will examine how literary texts might be said to carry out thinking, and the significance of this for the discipline of philosophy.
