NURBN2108 Person-Centered Nursing Practice B
This unit extends students¿ theoretical and practical knowledge in caring for individuals with acute and chronic conditions affecting the endocrine, hepatic, immune, renal, integumentary, and gastrointestinal systems. Students will apply critical thinking and clinical reasoning to assess, plan, and deliver evidence-based, person-centred nursing care. Emphasis is placed on integrating pathophysiology and pharmacology to inform safe, timely, and strengths-based clinical decisions. Through clinical laboratory sessions and 120 hours of supervised clinical placement, students will consolidate their ability to identify early signs of clinical deterioration, interpret key indicators, and implement appropriate nursing interventions. The unit also supports the development of accurate, professional documentation and communication skills, including the use of digital platforms, to enhance safety and support effective intra- and interprofessional collaboration in both simulated and clinical environments.
