NURBN1112 Anatomy and Physiology for Nursing and Midwifery 2
This unit is one of two units that provide foundational knowledge of human anatomy and physiology, with a focus on body defences, hormonal regulation, the maintenance of health through fluid balance, and growth across the lifespan. Students will explore the structure and function of key organ systems and examine how physiological processes support growth, development, and immune function across the lifespan. Topics include neural transmission, the lymphatic, endocrine, reproductive systems and pregnancy, protein synthesis and genetics, fluid regulation, the special senses, and human development. An integrated, case-based approach supports students in applying biological science knowledge to nursing and midwifery practice.

A CSP is subsidised by the Australian Government and students pay a contribution amount. Each unit is classified into a band, depending on the study area of the unit (this discipline may be different from the study area of your course).
