LITCR2990 Feature Writing

This course teaches students to produce feature stories for newspapers, magazines and online media. Students develop advanced writing and reporting skills in the genre, to apply the craft of feature writing in relation to contemporary issues and to prepare for multimedia workplaces. They consider the contribution feature writing makes to print and electronic media, including new media, and they develop an awareness of professional standards applicable to writing stories for the media.

Commonwealth supported place (CSP)

A CSP is subsidised by the Australian Government and students pay a contribution amount. Each unit is classified into a band, depending on the study area of the unit (this discipline may be different from the study area of your course).

Domestic full fee–paying places

A domestic full fee–paying place is one that isn’t subsidised by the Australian Government. These places are offered to postgraduate students or those who are ineligible for a CSP.
