HEASP4122 Research Honours Project 1 Part B
This is the second part (Part B) in a two-part Honours Research course chain. Within this course chain students will work independently (with supervision) in completing a research project relevant to a contemporary speech pathology theory or practice issue in an education-related area. Students will be required to demonstrate a solid understanding of their research methodology as well as strong organisational and planning skills. Students will consolidate their knowledge on their research topic area by undertaking a critical analysis of the literature, culminating in the production of a literature review paper. In this course students will collect, collate and analyse research data in order to derive robust research findings. Students will then critically examine their research findings in relation to existing knowledge on their research topic and analyse the relevance of these findings to Speech Pathology theory and practice. Following this, students will prepare a written summary of their research project in the form of a research thesis. Students will also deliver an oral presentation summarising their research, following which they will be required to respond to examiners' questions regarding project design, findings and implications.
Commonwealth Supported Place (CSP) unit fee
A Commonwealth Supported Place (CSP) is one that is subsidised by the Australian Government, which means students only pay the student contribution amount of the tuition fee. CSPs are only available to eligible domestic students.
The student contribution amount depends on the unit and how much funding the Government provides. Each unit is classified into a band based on its discipline (which may be different to your overall course discipline).
2025 student contribution amount: $2,329
2025 grandfathered student contribution amount (for students who commenced before 1 Jan 2021*): $2,329
* If you are a continuing student (who commenced your course before 1 January 2021) you will continue paying the same amount as you would have, had legislative reforms not been implemented for any units that would otherwise have an increased student contribution amount.
