ETMEC3250 Applied Thermodynamics and Heat Transfer
This course exposes technology students to many aspects related to heat and the devices that use heat. Topics include thermodynamic properties, heat engines, laws of energy conservation, combustion and emission products, heat transfer by conduction. convection and radiation, and the application and analysis of heat exchangers. On successful completion students will be capable of further specialisation in the fields of thermodynamics as may be required in their future careers.
Commonwealth supported place (CSP)
A CSP is subsidised by the Australian Government and students pay a contribution amount. Each unit is classified into a band, depending on the study area of the unit (this discipline may be different from the study area of your course).
