ENGRG4202 Electrical Power Transmission
This unit provides knowledge and understanding of electrical power transmission and distribution with topics covering - system planning and automation, load model, characterisation and modelling of transmission and distribution networks, application of distribution transformers, design of transmission, sub-transmission lines and distribution sub-station, and the distribution system and inverter-based resources. You will be introduced to the development of an optimal system design with respect to construction cost, capitalisation, performance reliability, and operating efficiency.
Commonwealth supported place (CSP)
A CSP is subsidised by the Australian Government and students pay a contribution amount. Each unit is classified into a band, depending on the study area of the unit (this discipline may be different from the study area of your course).
2026 contribution amount* $1,192
