ENGIN3002 Engineering Design Project

This course will develop advanced principles of engineering design. Approaches to the design of specific artifacts are considered in the broader context of the choices presented to a design engineer. The design process includes considerations of safety and compliance with standards. Assessment of failure is also discussed in some depth. This course will have a common taught component with a range other engineering disciplines and a discipline specific group design.

Commonwealth supported place (CSP)

A CSP is subsidised by the Australian Government and students pay a contribution amount. Each unit is classified into a band, depending on the study area of the unit (this discipline may be different from the study area of your course).

Domestic full fee–paying places

A domestic full fee–paying place is one that isn’t subsidised by the Australian Government. These places are offered to postgraduate students or those who are ineligible for a CSP.
