EDTAS1203 Writing and analysis for study and work
This unit is designed for students who are enrolled in the Associate Degree in Vocational Education and Training. The unit helps students to develop the necessary academic and study skills which are necessary to successfully complete a Higher Education program and to achieve the Federation University graduate attributes; and also to their ability to create documents for work and for their own students. Students are introduced to a range of relevant scholarship and literature, and are required to read, analyse and critique it. Engagement with this literature also develops their knowledge in the discipline area for use in study and for work. The unit encourages students to draw on their own experience and practice in order to consider ideas and issues in a more analytical manner. Students undertaking this course are likely to be working, or to have experience in, a wide range of VET settings, including, for example, TAFE, Enterprise and Private RTOs, VET in Schools, Industry, or Adult and Community Education settings.

A CSP is subsidised by the Australian Government and students pay a contribution amount. Each unit is classified into a band, depending on the study area of the unit (this discipline may be different from the study area of your course).
