EDMAS6114 Mathematics Curriculum 2
This unit examines contemporary issues in Mathematics education as well as the congruence between pedagogy, curriculum, and assessment. Pre-service teachers will be required to explore specific issues relating to current practice in the teaching of Mathematics in Years 7-10 and 11 and 12. They will be required to design and critically evaluate learning and assessment tasks, self-evaluate pedagogy, and conduct research into key issues related to learning Mathematics in school. A particular focus will be the differentiation of learning content for learners in Mathematics.
Commonwealth supported place (CSP)
A CSP is subsidised by the Australian Government and students pay a contribution amount. Each unit is classified into a band, depending on the study area of the unit (this discipline may be different from the study area of your course).

Grandfathered contribution amount - if you are a continuing student, who commenced your course before 1 January 2021, you will continue paying the same amount as you would have, had legislative reforms not been implemented, for any units that would otherwise have an increased student contribution amount.
