EDMAS6042 Mathematics, Numeracy and Learner Engagement 2
This unit is designed to develop an understanding of the learning and teaching of mathematics and numeracy in the Victorian and Australian contexts. Students use curriculum, current research, and educational policy to implement e¿ective and engaging student learning strategies in di¿erent mathematical content and proficiencies. Learning activities are designed to engage a variety of children from a range of social and cultural groups with a range of skills and interests, with a focus on differentiating tasks. Students design and evaluate a variety of assessment tasks to inform the design of their learning activities and reports. Pre-service teachers will develop academic and personal communication skills, self-re¿ection, personal learning, and the ability to deliver and respond to peer feedback.
Commonwealth supported place (CSP)
A CSP is subsidised by the Australian Government and students pay a contribution amount. Each unit is classified into a band, depending on the study area of the unit (this discipline may be different from the study area of your course).
