EDMAS6021 Practitioner Inquiry as a Stimulus for Learning
In this course pre-service teachers will develop their understandings of the nature, value and purpose of practitioner inquiry as an ongoing professional learning approach that leads to improved teaching and enhanced learning for school students. Pre-service teachers will learn how to develop an `inquiry stance¿ in their teaching and to use key thinking dispositions to understand and develop teaching practices. Pre-service teachers will learn to use key methodologies for examining the work they do in classrooms, how to analyse data collected in classrooms, to plan next steps in teaching, and to reflect on outcomes.
Commonwealth supported place (CSP)
A CSP is subsidised by the Australian Government and students pay a contribution amount. Each unit is classified into a band, depending on the study area of the unit (this discipline may be different from the study area of your course).

Grandfathered contribution amount - if you are a continuing student, who commenced your course before 1 January 2021, you will continue paying the same amount as you would have, had legislative reforms not been implemented, for any units that would otherwise have an increased student contribution amount.
