EDBED3037 Psychology Curriculum 1
This unit will revise undergraduate Pre-Service teachers (PSTs) knowledge of the scienti¿c nature and diversity of the ¿eld of Psychology and its key experiments. It will examine current psychological theories and enable PSTs to make them comprehensible, memorable and enjoyable to students. The unit will acquaint PSTs with the curriculum and assessment procedures of V.C.E. Units 1 & 2, and encourage them to explore how the curriculum frameworks can be used to create optimal participation, learning and enjoyment for students. PSTs will re¿ect critically on their teaching practice in the light of research ¿ndings into learning, memory and group interaction. They will investigate links between the Dispositions for E¿ective Teaching and Core (High Impact) Teaching Strategies.
Commonwealth supported place (CSP)
A CSP is subsidised by the Australian Government and students pay a contribution amount. Each unit is classified into a band, depending on the study area of the unit (this discipline may be different from the study area of your course).

Grandfathered contribution amount - if you are a continuing student, who commenced your course before 1 January 2021, you will continue paying the same amount as you would have, had legislative reforms not been implemented, for any units that would otherwise have an increased student contribution amount.
