DLGLM1001 Local Government Leadership
This unit introduces students to contemporary concepts, theories and approaches to leadership, and explores their application for effective leadership in a range of local government contexts. Students will reflect on recent literature, relevant local government case studies, workshop activities and their own experiences to identify critical skills, attitudes, practices and approaches to public sector leadership. Students will apply leadership knowledge to a relevant local government scenario to develop a personal Leadership Plan to develop effective leadership approaches in local government.
