CAXDC1002 Making: Composition & Connection
This course provides students with grounding in foundational visual principles, processes and materials that are core to art and design practices. Emphasis will be placed onexploration and experimentation of media, tools and processes in order to developindividual creative and interpretive problem solving approaches. Technical skills are developed using a range of analogue, digital and experimental methods that are incorporated into the creative development process. These studies are conducted in a studio environment consisting of lectures, workshops, projects, individual experiences and peer interaction.
Commonwealth supported place (CSP)
A CSP is subsidised by the Australian Government and students pay a contribution amount. Each unit is classified into a band, depending on the study area of the unit (this discipline may be different from the study area of your course).

Grandfathered contribution amount - if you are a continuing student, who commenced your course before 1 January 2021, you will continue paying the same amount as you would have, had legislative reforms not been implemented, for any units that would otherwise have an increased student contribution amount.
