BULAW2629 MANAGING THE LEGAL ENVIRONMENT
The course is designed to explore, apply and critique selected areas of law of most relevance to the operation and management of sports, recreational, tourist and hospitality operations. Legal principles of general application are contextualised and specialist aspects of law considered. Typically, contract, tort, intellectual property, employment law and organisational law will constitute the majority of the content. The focus of the course is on strategies for identifying and managing legal risk. Clear thinking, problem solving and analytical skills are further developed.
Commonwealth supported place (CSP)
A CSP is subsidised by the Australian Government and students pay a contribution amount. Each unit is classified into a band, depending on the study area of the unit (this discipline may be different from the study area of your course).

Grandfathered contribution amount - if you are a continuing student, who commenced your course before 1 January 2021, you will continue paying the same amount as you would have, had legislative reforms not been implemented, for any units that would otherwise have an increased student contribution amount.
