BUACC1001 Fundamentals of Law
The unit introduces students to managing business risk through understanding concepts relevant to business law. Students gain an understanding of Australian law and areas of law relevant to business, including contract law and the law of torts (negligence). In addition, students understand the business structures available for business activities. By developing an understanding of these topic areas, students will learn to manage business risk and develop the ability to apply business law concepts to practical situations using legal writing and problem-solving.
Commonwealth supported place (CSP)
A CSP is subsidised by the Australian Government and students pay a contribution amount. Each unit is classified into a band, depending on the study area of the unit (this discipline may be different from the study area of your course).
