BSMAN2010 FUNDAMENTALS OF WORKFORCE DIVERSITY
This course is designed to introduce students to the principles of managing a diverse workforce. It will examine the definition of diversity and equal opportunity; diversity and relationship to business objectives; diversity policies and action plans; consultation and communication strategies. Students will learn to create productive diversity within workforces, with managerial decision making grounded in ethical, legal and national standards. They will be able to demonstrate an understanding of workforce diversity fundamentals relevant to race, gender, religion, disability and human rights practices and theories. Students will analyse workforce diversity scenarios and discuss communication skills, conflict management and leadership strategies. At the completion of the course students will be able to research and develop a diversity policy, procedure and communication strategy related to a current workforce issue.
Commonwealth supported place (CSP)
A CSP is subsidised by the Australian Government and students pay a contribution amount. Each unit is classified into a band, depending on the study area of the unit (this discipline may be different from the study area of your course).

Grandfathered contribution amount - if you are a continuing student, who commenced your course before 1 January 2021, you will continue paying the same amount as you would have, had legislative reforms not been implemented, for any units that would otherwise have an increased student contribution amount.
