BASOC1002 Sociology of Families and Relationships
This unit introduces sociological theories and research methods related to families and relationships. It explores a diverse range of perspectives, situating families in Australian and international contexts. It covers key stages in life courses including childhood, partnering, parenting, ageing and grandparenting, as well as diverse relationships and family formations. The unit also introduces quantitative and qualitative approaches to researching families and relationships.
