Co-op cadetships

Earn, learn and build your career with an industry employer that's backing you from day one.

A co-op cadetship is for people who know where they want to go; they just need a chance to show what they’re made of. Federation works directly with industry partners to create cadetships that respond to real skills shortages in our regions. These roles aren't short-term — they're built to give you the skills and experience employers need now and into the future.

How it works

  • You're employed in a paid role with an industry partner while studying a Federation degree
  • Your degree is matched to the role, building skills and specialist knowledge employers need
  • Each cadetship is tailored to the position, with your employer clearly outlining work hours, study load, location and renumeration
  • Learning will work around you and your job, not the other way around, with flexible study modes available

It’s long-term, career-focused employment, backed by industry and the university from day one.
