Request an equity adjustment

Access information and support for an equity concern in your studies or work placement.

You might face extra barriers because of personal circumstances or identity. If you have an equity concern – something in your background, identity or personal situation that’s affecting your ability to study on the same basis as others – we encourage you to speak with an equity and inclusion officer.

We can provide information, support and discuss reasonable adjustments for your study or work placements. For example, if you're studying nursing and have concerns about wearing a short-sleeved uniform, we can work with you to find a suitable alternative.

Register for accessibility support

If you're living with a disability, health condition or carer responsibilities, you can register for accessibility support. This is different from an equity adjustment.

Your privacy

Anything you tell the Student Equity and Inclusion team will be kept confidential. We’ll respect your privacy and how you want to handle the situation. In rare cases where there’s a risk to others, we may need to act on the information you provide – but we’ll always let you know if that happens.

See Federation University’s Information Privacy Procedure to find out more about how we collect, hold, use and disclose personal information.
