Nourishment Nook food pantry
Whether it’s a quick snack between classes or the ingredients for a home-cooked meal, we’re here to help.

The Nourishment Nook is open to all Federation University students and free to use. We know food insecurity can affect anyone, and we’re here to help in a confidential and respectful environment. Depending on availability, you’ll find pantry staples like canned fruits and vegetables, cereals, rice, flour and personal hygiene products – just bring a reusable bag and take what you need.
Foodbank Victoria provides the Nourishment Nook with the majority of our food. Sometimes this includes food nearing the end of its shelf life. But don’t worry, "Best Before" is a guideline, not a rule. Read more about food expiry dates.
Book your visit
You'll need to book your visit to the Nourishment Nook so that our team can make plans, manage availability and stock, and improve the pantry based on session popularity. Bookings are required due to high demand, but we never use or share your information for other purposes.
The Nourishment Nook is open during semester at the following campuses and times. If these times don't work for you, send us an email and we'll find a time together.
Bring your reusable bag and take one shopping bag of items per week.
Donate to the panty
The Nourishment Nook wouldn’t be possible without the generous support of those who donate food or volunteer their time. We encourage you to take what you need, and leave what you can. If you’re in a position to help, send us an email.
