Day 1 - Welcome to Federation

Here’s what Orientation Day 1 will look like.

8.30 am - Check In - Room GC05
Start your day by registering at the check-in desk. This is where you’ll confirm your attendance and receive your welcome pack.

9–10 am - Visa and Compliance Information
We’ll go through the important rules you need to follow to meet your student visa requirements. It’s not the most exciting part, but it’s very important.

10–11 am - Getting Connected
We’ll help you log in to all the university systems you’ll use during your studies, like Moodle and your student email.

Bring your laptop so we can get you set up on the spot.

11 am–12.30 pm - Enrolment Lab
Now that you’re connected, we’ll guide you through enrolling in your four units (subjects) for the semester. Our team will be there to help every step of the way.

12.30–1.30 pm - Free Lunch
Take a break, enjoy a free lunch, and meet your new friends!

1.30–3.30 pm - Course Overviews
After lunch you’ll join a session to learn more about your specific course.

3.30–4 pm - Campus Tour
We’ll finish the day with a guided tour of your new study location so you can feel confident finding your way around.

Day 2 - Uni Skills Day

Uni Skills Day is your starting point for confident study at Federation University
 
You’ll practise key academic skills, time management, explore systems like Moodle and discover support services for study, jobs, and your career.

Plus, you'll meet fellow students. And yes, lunch is on us!
