How we develop research funding and sustainability

Research funding and sustainability is a key component in our Researcher Capability Framework.

Our researchers demonstrate scale and diversity in planning, applying for and securing external funding, while building interdisciplinary practices. We provide guidance to help identify and pursue funding opportunities, including government grants, industry partnerships, alumni and philanthropy, research collaborations, international grants, sponsorships and commercialisation.

We support our researchers to:

  • Identify and research funding opportunities across government, industry, philanthropy and international sources
  • Write compelling funding proposals tailored for diverse, multidisciplinary audiences
  • Apply strong organisational skills to manage timelines, deliverables and compliance with funding terms.
  • Ensure research goals align with both the institution’s strategic plan and the priorities of funding entities.
