How we develop research communication and dissemination

Research communication and dissemination is a key component in our Researcher Capability Framework.

We make research visible and meaningful, creating pathways for it to be communicated clearly, shared widely and understood by diverse audiences – both within the university and to external audiences.

We support our researchers to:

  • Incorporate a communication strategy into overall research project design
  • Share, publicise and advocate for research using varied methods and platforms
  • Write concisely and persuasively, including case studies, impact statements and accessible research stories
  • Publish in high-impact journals and reputable publishers and use digital platforms to reach broader audiences.

How we deliver

Research impact training
Training that helps researchers plan for, evidence and communicate the impact of their work throughout the research lifecycle.
Research writing retreat
A two-day writing retreat with mentoring to give researchers dedicated time and support for writing publications.
Media training
Training to understand how the media works and how to share and spark interest in your research.
Academic writing groups
Groups to connect PhD and Masters by Research candidates to share ideas, grow writing skills and build confidence.
Skills development program
Online webinars and workshops to help PhD and Masters by Research candidates build transferable skills, network with peers and stay on track.
