HDR research conference

The HDR research conference is an annual event showcasing the work of students completing a Graduate Certificate in Research, Masters by Research or a doctoral degree.

Explore 'creating tomorrow' at the 2026 conference

Join us at the Mt Helen Campus on Thursday 9 July 2026 to hear research on the theme of 'creating tomorrow'.

The HDR research conference brings together HDR candidates, supervisors and academics from across the university. It’s a supportive space to share your research, hear from others and build confidence as a conference speaker. The conference alternates each year, with one year held online and the next in person. In 2026, it will be held at the Mt Helen Campus and will include a morning plenary session, oral presentations throughout the day and poster presentations over lunch.

Call for submissions

If you’ve passed your confirmation milestone by 1 April 2026, submit an abstract for an oral or poster presentation - or both.

Your principal supervisor will need to approve your abstract before you submit.

You must register to attend. Registration is free and required for all attendees, including HDR candidates who are presenting.
