Biography

Dr Anju Sreeram is a lecturer and researcher in Nursing at Federation University Australia and has vast experience in mental health nursing practices.

Anju's work focuses on mental health, collaborative and cooperative practice, and the application of artificial intelligence. She completed a research fellowship with the Collaborative and Evaluation Research Centre (CERC), undertaking psychosocial and evaluative research.

Anju supervises honours, master’s and PhD students at Federation University. Her current projects include partnerships with the Wadawurrung Aboriginal community, consumer‑led, diagnosis‑specific lived‑experience support for recovery, and AI applications in mental health care.

Areas of expertise

Anju has expertise in mental health nursing practice with a strong focus on recovery‑oriented, consumer‑centered and lived‑experience‑informed approaches. Her research focuses on consumer perspectives in the design, delivery and evaluation of mental health services. She has experience in the evaluation of health and community‑based educational programs using collaborative and participatory methodologies. Anju has completed an evaluation project of the MCFC – The Future Program, examining program effectiveness, participant experiences and outcomes related to community wellbeing.
