Join the Library
Our libraries are open to students, staff members, alumni and the wider community. You can use the Library spaces and browse the collections without having a membership, but if you're keen to borrow something, you'll need to join.
Borrowing items
Find out what your borrowing limits are, including item types, maximum quantity and loan duration.
If you're a Federation student or staff member, you might be able to request or borrow items from elsewhere.
Access online material
We have a huge range of resources available via our database. If you're a Federation student or staff member, you can open and download academic journal articles, e-books, dissertations, reports, newspaper articles, videos and more. Log in with your ID and password to search and access catalogue items.
Special collections
We have eight special collections that contain books, dissertations, reports, artefacts, artworks, rare historical items and more. Explore them online or in person.
