Mt Helen Library

The Mt Helen Library is located in Building L, just near the Main Quad. It spans four levels and is home to the Geoffrey Blainey Research Centre and reading room.

Opening hours

Monday to Friday, 9 am–5 pm. Hours may vary. Check the Library opening hours before visiting.

Your library card

As a Federation student or staff member you're already a member of the Library – your Federation ID is your library card. No extra forms, just bring your ID card and start borrowing.

Book a space

If you need a quiet space to study or a room for group work or online classes, drop in during opening hours or book ahead to reserve a spot.

There are four rooms available – two that fit up to five people, one that fits six and one that can fit twenty.

Access materials from the Geoffrey Blainey Research Centre

The Geoffrey Blainey Research Centre is on the top floor of the Mt Helen Library and houses our historial and art special collections.
