Gippsland Library

The Gippsland Library is located on Level 1 in Building 1E. It's home to the Gippsland and Regional Studies Collection and Uncle Albert Mullet Reading Room.

Opening hours

9 am–5 pm, Monday to Friday. Hours may vary. Check the Library opening hours before you visit.
 
After-hours access
 
Access the Library PC lab in Room 213 with your swipe card between 6 pm and 8 am. You'll find 24 PCs, a SMART Board, data and overhead projectors, a whiteboard and a printer.
 

Your library card

As a Federation student or staff member you're already a member of the Library – your Federation ID is your library card. No extra forms, just bring your ID card and start borrowing.

Book a space

If you need a quiet space to study or a room for group work or online classes, drop in during opening hours or book ahead to reserve a spot.
 
There are two rooms available – one that fits up to six people and one that fits up to eight.

Visit the Uncle Albert Mullet Reading Room

The Uncle Albert Mullett Reading Room has been set up for students and researchers to access items from the Gippsland and Regional Studies Collection.

Lifts: to all levels

Library staff can help you:

  • get books from the shelves
  • nominate someone to collect and return resources on your behalf
  • use the Library catalogue, electronic databases and other services
  • use the photocopier.

If you have an accessibility officer referral, we can post material to your home address (although you'll need to arrange the return postage).
