Technology parks in action
Learn about the history of our tech parks and understand how they drive innovation, support industry and contribute to regional growth.
Federation Technology Parks are more than business precincts – they’re catalysts for innovation and collaboration. Established in 1995 with the launch of our Mt Helen site, these parks were created to foster new and emerging technologies, starting with a focus on information technology and IBM as our first commercial tenant.
Today, our six Technology Parks – Mt Helen, Central Ballarat, Flecknoe, Gippsland Enterprise Centre, Morwell Innovation Centre and Wimmera – demonstrate the economic outcomes achievable through innovation precincts built in partnership with universities and the private sector.
At the heart of our vision is a commitment to helping technology-driven businesses thrive. We provide world-class infrastructure and connect tenants with research partnerships, workforce development programs and student placements.
