Andrew Lewis is Professor and Director of Academic Operations for the Institute of Health and Wellbeing at Federation. Previously he was Professor and Director of Clinical Psychology at Murdoch (2016-2022), and a Research Academic and Associate Professor at Deakin (2007-2015) and a founding member of the Mental Health Strategic Research Cluster at Deakin University.
In addition to his research track record, Lewis is a practicing clinical psychologist and has worked as a clinician in the mental health system with children and adolescents for over twenty years. He is a registered supervisor with the Psychology Board of Australia.
Andrew regularly reviews papers for leading journals in his area such as Lancet Public Health, Behaviour and Brain Science, Clinical Psychology; Journal of Psychosomatic Research, Journal of Child Psychology and Psychiatry; Psychology and Psychotherapy: Theory, Research and Practice and Child and Adolescent Mental Health. In 2009. Andrew was selected to undertake Deakin University’s 2 year Research Leadership program and in 2010 worked at the Division of Psychology at University College London as a visiting Research Fellow.
