Taine was born into a family of dramaturges in country Victoria, where his parents teaching VCE drama fostered the budding spark in him from an early age. After a successful high school career, having appeared in VCE’s 2020 and 2021 ‘Seasons of Excellence’, Taine arrived at the Arts Academy. He tackled leading roles in Little Women: The Broadway Musical (Laurie) and Pippin (Pippin), acquiring a particular enthusiasm for music theatre. After his studies, Taine began development on multiple independent works, which he continued to work on in his move to Naarm.
