Leif Taylor, originally from Perth, grew up in an artistic family, fostering a love for music and performance, playing the violin and dancing from a young age. They studied classical voice at the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts and worked as a dancer and choreographer. While in Perth, they worked with Drew Anthony in his production of 42nd Street. During their time at the Arts Academy, they were fortunate to be in The White Rose, Little Women: The Broadway Musical and Pippin, as well as writing and choreographing the finale number for the company-devised project A Seat at the Periodic Table.
