Electric vehicle charging
There are now electric vehicle (EV) charging stations at our Mt Helen and SMB campuses.
As part of our commitment to a more sustainable, greener future, electric vehicle (EV) charging stations are now available at our Mt Helen and SMB campuses. This initiative supports the University’s Towards Net Zero 2033 strategy.
The installation of 12 Delta chargers was funded by the Department of Energy, Environment and Climate Action (DEECA) through the Victorian Government’s Training the Next Generation of Agricultural Professionals project (run by Federation TAFE).
The chargers are compatible with most electric vehicle makes and models, except those with CHAdeMO plugs.

New to charging?
You'll need the Chargefox app to use the EV chargers and view your charging history. You can download it for free from App Store or Google Play.
Fees are charged on a kWh basis. Different rates apply depending on the speed of the charging station. Make sure you don't stay plugged into the 50kw fast charger after you're finished or you could be charged an idle fee.
